----------------------------------------------------
Please note the following:
----------------------------------------------------
- You can use the Internet Shortcuts located in the Midisoft
Sound Bar program group to access the Midisoft web pages,
or to register Sound Bar through the web.
- Sound Bar requires that your mail system support
simple MAPI (such as in MS Exchange) to send and
receive audio mail.
- NetScape 2.0 supports MS Exchange as a
mail client.
- You must have Windows Media Player installed on
your computer for Sound Bar to work correctly. See
the section below for instructions on installing
Media Player.
- To take full advantage of different audio compression
settings on your computer, make sure the Audio
Compression codecs have been installed. See below for
instructions on installing the codecs.
- Sound Bar doesn't correctly manipulate certain controls
on some Pro Audio Spectrum(TM) 16 sound cards. These controls
are the mute/select for CD Audio, wave output, and MIDI
output. To use these controls on your sound card, use the
MS Volume control (double click the speaker icon on the
task bar).
- Sound Bar supports the following audio compression codecs:
* PCM
* GSM 6.10
* Microsoft ADPCM
* DSP Group TrueSpeech(TM)
If you have sound files encoded using a different compression
codec, load the file in Sound Recorder (SndRec32.exe),
convert it to one of the above codecs, and save.
